Detect Arsenic using API AJ-05 Detector

Arsenic Detection Pouch (AJ Pouch, Model AJ-05, Patent Pending)

The AJ Arsenic Detection Pouch, (Patent Pending), detects all forms of Arsenic compounds in all types of foods and liquids. The detection limit was selected to be about 1/50 the level that is Immediately Dangerous to Health and Life. (IDHL). The detection time is less than 90 seconds. The sample size required is 2-7 grams. Fill up the small plastic pouch to the marked line, add a plastic harness with two pre-measured reagents and press the pouch. Insert a small detection tab in the slots on the top of the pouch and watch its color. The formation of a visible yellow, brown or black color indicates the presence of arsenic in the sample.

This detector can be used to detect arsenic in food before consumption, in food residues and in samples of stomach content for forensic testing. The US DOD funded a part of the development work and independent validation tests.
