Fix-ItTM - HG provides a way for complexing Mercury to allow for safe storage and transport for waste containing metallic mercury. Mercury poisons can be detected at toxic levels using the HM Cards or Mercury Detector for Liquids produced by ChemSee. In the event of a toxic spill of Mercury efforts should be made, in order of priority, to: remove exposed personnel to a clean area; reduce exposure of new personnel to the toxin; reduce the spread of toxic material to uncontaminated areas; prevent poisons from seeping into the ground, underground water, or waterways; immobilize the toxic materials to prevent additional spread and to facilitate their collection.
Fix-ItTM - HG may allow for the prevention of the spread of Mercury-based poisons to uncontaminated areas including the ground, underground water, and waterways. It also may assist in the safe collection of Mercury by preventing the release of its vapors which can cause harm to those attempting to decontaminate an area.
