API Food Poison Detection: Short Term Poison Detection (Model STPD-06)
API's Short Term Poison Detection Kit includes everything one needs to analyze a sample of food for the heavy metals Lead, Mercury, Cadmium and Thallium, as well as Cyanides, Azides, Sulfides, Chromates and Arsenic, to document the results and to preserve the evidence for future use. The only thing needed is a small amount of clean water. The STPD-06 kit was designed to be light weight yet rugged and can be used in the lab or in the field.
Note: This detection kit has a significantly lower price than the KT-05 or KT-06 detection kit, but it does not have the QAD tabs used to validate its performance. Except for during shipment, the detectors have to be stored refrigerated and used within six months.
The Kit includes:
Cyanides, Azides & Heavy Metals Detection Card (JDK-61) -
Detect heavy metals including Lead, Mercury, Cadmium and Thallium, as well as Cyanides, Azides, Sulfides and Chromates in samples of food. Analysis is typically completed in 2-10 seconds. A visible color change on the detection strips indicates the presence of Heavy Metals, Cyanides, Azides, Sulfides, or Chromates.
Arsenic Detection Pouch (AJ-05 Pouch) -
Detect arsenic in samples of food regardless of the specific compounds arsenic is present in. The test takes only 90 seconds after the sample has been prepared. A visible color change in the detection strip held in the detection pouch indicates the presence of arsenic. (Patent Pending)

A mixing blow, gloves and other accessories needed to prepare the sample, in addition to documentation and analysis tools to assist the user to record the data and document it as evidence for chain of custody.
