After the Device Question Is Ruled Out
An access-control anomaly leads a secure facility to review selected vehicle cargo surfaces, tool cases and work areas. Threat-assessment procedures first establish that there is no suspected explosive device and that the surfaces are safe and authorized to examine.
The remaining question is residue triage—not attribution. Background transfer, environmental contamination and lawful industrial residue remain plausible, so any color response must be documented, preserved where required and confirmed under the organization’s evidence procedure.
ChemSee can match approved large-surface screening to the current SprayView configuration, or SprayView PLUS when the reviewed need includes selected precursor coverage. Collected-sample formats remain an alternate path when evidence preservation or surface compatibility requires them.
Do Not Test a Possible Device
Do not touch, move, open, sample or spray an unattended suspicious item or possible explosive device. Follow the organization’s threat-assessment procedure and contact the appropriate bomb-response or law-enforcement authority.
Select the Product by the Screening Need
| Operational need | Starting product path |
|---|---|
| Large appropriate authorized surfaces | SprayView |
| Large surfaces plus selected precursor coverage | SprayView PLUS |
| Broad finished-explosive and precursor screening | EXPKIT-01 |
| Finished-explosive focus | EXPKIT-02 |
| Precursor focus | EXPKIT-03 |
| High number of collected samples | NSK-01 or NSK-01S according to current target coverage |
| One defined target | Individual detector after application review |
Final selection depends on the current target matrix, surface or sample, throughput, environment and the decision the result must support. SprayView PLUS remains part of the SprayView product page.
Technical and Operational Questions
- Is the item or surface safe and authorized to screen?
- Is the requirement direct-surface or collected-sample screening?
- Are finished explosive classes, precursors or both in scope?
- What surface material, contamination, throughput and environment apply?
- What evidence-preservation and confirmatory procedure follows a result?
How ChemSee Helps
ChemSee compares surface coverage, collection-pad use, target classes, kit portability and sample throughput. Product-specific CTAs preserve the exact requested configuration; undecided inquiries remain product-selection requests rather than defaulting to SprayView.
Assess, Select, Screen, Document and Escalate
- Assess safety and authority. Complete the threat assessment; never approach or test a possible device.
- Select the method. Choose direct application or collected-sample screening and match the current target matrix.
- Screen under the instructions. Check the supplied QA material and follow product and surface-compatibility instructions. Never apply SprayView to a person, skin or worn clothing.
- Document the observation. Record the surface or sample, location, conditions, product lot and prescribed color response. Preserve a separate evidentiary sample when agency procedure requires it.
- Escalate and confirm. Treat positive, uncertain or consequential observations as inputs to the appropriate responder or laboratory confirmation process.
Presumptive Screening Boundaries
A colorimetric response is presumptive and target-limited. It does not locate a concealed device, identify an exact explosive, establish source or intent, prove that a person handled explosives or substitute for evidentiary laboratory analysis.
A negative result means that no applicable response was observed under the conditions of the test. It does not exclude a target outside the selected chemistry, inaccessible residue, matrix or surface interference, sampling error or an amount that does not produce the prescribed response.
Share the surface, expected background, target classes, throughput and evidence procedure. ChemSee will match the authorized screening workflow to the current SprayView configuration.
