EXECUTIVE AND VIP FOOD SECURITY

When a Diplomatic Dinner Changes Caterers

A diplomatic dinner changes caterers shortly before service, and ice, garnishes or plated food arrive through an unplanned handoff. The protective team holds service and follows its custody and sampling plan rather than testing at random.

The operational need is a controlled decision path: select representative prepared samples, define which poison groups are relevant, preserve an alternate-meal option, and establish medical, command and confirmation actions before any test is opened.

KT-06 is the primary product path for presumptive colorimetric screening across nine target categories and three detector groups. Targeted detector groups may be considered when the threat question is narrower; ChemSee consultation covers matrices, sampling, throughput and rehearsal.

PROGRAM PRINCIPLE

Custody Comes Before Screening

Approved sourcing, restricted access, custody, trained personnel and escalation procedures remain the primary controls. Rapid screening adds a defined observation layer; it does not replace protective intelligence, food-safety controls or laboratory confirmation.

Control the Food Path Before Testing

The strongest deployment plan reduces uncertainty before the detector is opened.

ADVANCE

Venue and Supplier Planning

Identify approved kitchens, caterers, delivery routes, restricted areas, service times and points where control could be lost.

CUSTODY

Representative Sample Control

Define who selects each sample, how it is labeled and protected, and how food, beverage, garnish, ice and other components are represented.

RESPONSE

Decision and Escalation

Establish hold, notification, alternate-meal, medical, evidence-preservation and confirmatory-testing actions before screening begins.

Choose the Screening Breadth

Select coverage from the defined threat question rather than treating one detector as a universal food-safety test.

BROAD SCREENING

KT-06 Food Poison Detection Kit

Provides presumptive screening across listed anion, heavy-metal and arsenic-containing poison groups from a prepared sample, typically within approximately 2–8 minutes.

TARGETED SCREENING

Selected Detector Groups

CA-61K, HM-34K and AJ-05K may support narrower anion, heavy-metal or arsenic-compound questions when the program does not require the full KT-06 configuration.

METHOD REVIEW

Matrix and Program Fit

Food color, fat, solids, acidity, preparation and target concentration can influence a visual screen. ChemSee reviews the intended matrices, workload and decision point before recommending a configuration.

A Controlled On-Site Workflow

Personnel should train and rehearse the complete response path before relying on screening during an event.

1

Collect and Prepare

Select a representative portion under the protective plan, record its source and custody, and prepare it exactly as required by the supplied instructions.

2

Screen and Document

Run the prescribed detector groups with current materials. Record the kit lot, time, operator, sample description, conditions and observed color response.

3

Interpret and Escalate

Compare the response with current references. Hold and escalate positive, uncertain, inconsistent or decision-critical findings under the preplanned protective and confirmatory procedure.

Interpret the Result Within Its Limits

NEGATIVE SCREEN

Not a Declaration That Food Is Safe

A negative response applies only to the selected detector groups, the prepared test portion and the conditions used. It does not rule out an untested chemical, an amount outside the useful response, matrix interference, sampling error, biological agents, toxins, allergens, pathogens, radiological hazards or ordinary spoilage.

CONSEQUENTIAL RESULT

Preserve and Confirm

A screening response is not compound identification, exact concentration or forensic proof. Protect personnel, retain the sample and records when appropriate, and obtain laboratory or instrument confirmation under the responsible organization’s protocol.

Information for application review: Provide the protected population, venues, food-service model, sample types, expected throughput, deployment conditions, training plan, selected threats, required decision and quantity. ChemSee can then recommend a product path and documentation package without overstating the role of a field screen.

Share the venue model, menu and beverage matrices, service timeline, protected population and response plan. ChemSee will help configure and rehearse the screening layer.
